Scaling Trends for Established and Emerging Memory Technologies
Betty Prince, Memory Strategies International, USA
Abstract
This talk will discuss scaling trends for standalone and embedded memories. Scaling issues in long established memories, DRAMS, Flash and SRAMs will be considered along with the potential and criteria for an innovative memory technology, such as Z-RAM, Phase Change RAM, ReRAM, MRAM, etc., becoming established in a maturing silicon IC era. Innovative scaling for silicon systems will be traced including using 3-D, TSV stacking, multi-bit and multi-level memory.
