Imec offers a wide portfolio of seminars and courses to the academic, research and industrial community.

Technology

 

  • The imec-academy offers a wide portfolio of courses and seminars. It organizes its seminars and courses in its auditoria and hands-on class rooms in Leuven or on-site, both in Belgium and abroad.
  • Access to teacher-time being in short supply, the imec-academy is increasing its use of multimedia technology to record classes and seminars. Streaming media have an additional benefit: it allows participants to attend classes without carrying the overhead of travel. Out-of-office time for the participants is absolutely limited to the minimum possible.
  • The imec-academy provides access to industry using streaming media technology, real-time, or on-demand. Real-time streaming allows the participants to interact with the lecturers by asking clarification and questions. On demand courses may be combined with dedicated live Q&A sessions.

Application Fields

 

  • The imec-academy portfolio covers technology and design in the fields of “More Moore” – CMOS processing and scaling – and “More-than-Moore” – heterogeneous integration: MEMS, nanophotonics, power electronics –, but it covers also related fields, such a life sciences, physics and even management related topics such as IP-protection.   • The imec-academy is organizing training at all levels of expertise: targeting the junior technician, both young and experienced engineers, but also sales staff and management.
  • On top of its public calendar, the academy organizes custom courses on demand: together we will discuss the content, the program and format, the duration, the lecturers, ...
