Invent - Imec is developing high-power amplifier (HPA) modules for satellite communication. The modules are integrated as a System-in-a-Package (SiP), using a HEMT-on-Si technology, combining low cost and high flexibility.
Achieve - In 2007, imec made a first 10W HPA, operating in the L band, with a bandwidth centered at 2GHz.
